Actually, I have over the years taken a number of informal and formal psychological test. These together with daily prayer and regular confession are absolutely essential to the pastoral work I do as a priest and the academic work I do as a psychologist.
St Anthony the Great says that self-knowledge, and this in all likelihood will be part of Sunday's sermon, is the essential first step to knowing God. And not just for my relationship w/God. I can't tell you how much grief I've had in my life simply because I did have an accurate view of myself and so stepped on somebody's toes!
Anything that gives me accurate, if even incomplete, self-knowledge is important. If you haven't do so, try the test--they're fun and easy and reasonably accurate. And if you want, let me know what you found out.
Wow, I'm really surprised! Just a few months ago I was an INFJ. I should reflect upon how my life experiences since then have moved me to this type. Strange.
Also, I've really been wanting to pick up a musical instrument, although some issues with my hands keep getting in the way. After seeing these scores, perhaps I should focus more on music? And I'm apparently also a tree-hugger! ;)
Now, is it fair for a psychologist to take this kind of test? {VBG}

Fair? No. Prudent? Yes! {VBG}
